In Soderbergh’s latest punchy, sleek thriller, British intelligence agents George and Kathryn (Michael Fassbender and Cate Blanchett… what more could you need?!) are embroiled in a top-secret software leak that threatens their careers and their lives — not to mention their marriage. It’s light on depth of characterisation, but no one’s trying to make a brooding, gritty le Carré film here. With a fabulous ensemble cast including Pierce Brosnan, Tom Burke and Naomie Harris, this is both a reliably intelligent espionage romp and a very fun ride. Running time: 93 minutes, plus short item.
