Life in Slough but not as we know it. In this Indie comedy we follow the hectic lives of a dysfunctional Punjabi family living in suburbia welcoming Simmy from India, who comes to marry their eldest son Raj. Simmy speaks little English and is wholly dependent on the family when Raj disappears. Gradually, equipped with a knowledge of TV English, help from her ex con brother in law, Simmy grows in confidence and challenges her harsh treatment. Refreshing witty observation of modern life for British Asian famiies, there are lots of laughs.
