Storyline

Mary Stuart, widowed at 18 as Queen of France, returns to her native Scotland to reclaim her rightful throne. By birth she also has a claim to the throne of Elizabeth I, Queen of England.  Betrayal, rebellion and conspiracy in both courts imperil both Queens, driving them apart as each experiences the bitter cost of power.   Running time: 124 minutes.    ^{What’s this?}
