Storyline

The cobbled streets of Troyes provide the perfect backdrop for love, laughter and plenty of good vintages in this charming film, based on a 2019 stage play. Wine merchant Jacques suffers a heart attack, forcing him to give up drinking and hire an assistant, whose wine knowledge is lacking. Meanwhile, he becomes intrigued by a kind-hearted midwife Hortense, who regularly buys wine from his shop. At a wine tasting it is a case of opposites attract but will the path to love flow smoothly? Running time: 92 minutes. French with subtitles.

At 6.45pm, a cheese and wine tasting event conducted by James Grant (No2 Pound Street) cheesemonger and World Cheese Judge and Katherine Dart (Master of Wine) will take place.  Doors will open at the earlier time of 6.30pm.
