Storyline

Thelma’s grandson ‘Danny’ calls to say he is in desperate trouble and needs $10,000 urgently to bail him out. His doting grandma promptly withdraws the cash and sticks it in the post.Upon realising that she has been cruelly scammed, Thelma (94-year-old June Squibb) sets out to track the culprit down with the help of her friend Ben (Richard Rowntree). A delightful but topical film based on the director Josh Margolin’s own grandmother being scammed, which became the breakout hit of the 2024 Sundance Film Festival. Running time 98 minutes plus short item.
