Storyline

Set in a remote village in the Italian Alps in 1944 when the war was heading firmly in the direction of the allies and Italian soldiers are deserting. One of them, a Sicilian, arrives in the village and is taken in by the local schoolmaster and his family, changing their lives for ever. A film to be enjoyed for its sense of time and beautiful photography.
