Storyline

Based on the best-selling novel by Maggie O’Farrell, Hamnet takes an unusual slant on the story of Shakespeare. While he seeks fame and fortune in London, we follow the life of his wife as she brings up their growing family  in the country without him,  a lifestyle brought nearly to breaking point by the tragic death of their beloved son, Hamnet.  With lead roles beautifully played by Paul Mescal and Jessie Buckley, this is a story of love, sadness and ultimately, hope.   Running time: 126 minutes.
