Storyline

Iran, France, Luxembourg 2025. Director : Jafar Panahi.   Ebrahim, driving at night, hits a dog. This accident triggers a spiralling chain of events when he stops at a garage where the mechanic, Vahid, is convinced Ebrahim is his former torturer. The underlying dramatic tension is enhanced as his certainty wavers and he gathers a disparate group of acquaintances, all of whom have suffered at the hands of the Iranian state and, if they are right, at the hands of Ebrahim. The film plays on doubt, fear and the corrosive legacy of trauma, with the possibility that the past has finally caught up with Ebrahim.   Running time: 103 minutes.
