2026 Bursary to support NFTS students
In April 2026 the society donated a bursary of £12,000 to support students studying at the NFTS. This money has been added to the NFTS student support fund. We have just been notified by NFTS that the two recipients of this bursary are:
- Tetiana Lialina, a student on the Directing Fiction course, as part of her course she makes a series of short films.
- Daisy Hutchins, who is doing a film studies course which again involves making short films.
Tetiana and Daisy attended the screening on 4th October to tell us about how the bursary will help them. We received the following appreciation from them:
Daisy said:
“Thank you for having me! I had a lovely time, it was so great to meet the members and I really felt very welcome. Great film choice too! I will keep you updated on any big new accomplishments including grades, and I appreciate the film club’s support so much.I’ll definitely keep in touch!”
Tanya said:
“Thank you so much again for all your support, and for the invitation to the screening!!!It was a lovely evening on Saturday, and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Taxi Driver on the big screen. I’d be delighted to show one of my films at a future gathering, and of course my graduation film once it’s finished. I hope that one day I’ll make a film you’ll be just as keen to include in your programme .I hope to see you soon!”
